Die Spiderwick Geheimnisse, Bd. 1 Eine unglaubliche Entdeckung - 'Tony DiTerlizzi', 'Holly Black', 'Anne Brauner' This book is a good quick read. I liked it and I hope my 11 years old nephew (who doesn´t read much) will like it, too.
Death by Darjeeling - Laura Childs This book irritated me. Leaving out the fact that I wonder how somebody could name their daughter Theodosia, this book was hard to follow. There was no red string. Every chapter started on a completely different setting and a different point of the story and when you finally made your connection to the plot & the characters, the chapter ends and your brain had to start all over again. That leaves a lot of gaps at the end of the book. And I even dare to say that it takes the coziness out of the mystery. Not even the atmosphere of a tea shop and it´s daily business (which was the reason why I´ve picked up the book) could rescue that.
And the end came much too soon. Really, there was no other clue then this purchase of the murder and then out of nothing, the main character remembers poison which wasn´t mentioned in the book before? And suddenly, somebody goes mad, though there were no hints about that in the book either? This is a kind of clumsy.
Well, maybe it was that way, because it was the first book of the tea shop series. I might pick up another one, just to compare it with this one.
Coraline - Neil Gaiman A quick & enjoyable read :)
Raising Demons - Rachel Hawkins For some reason, this book wasn´t as strong as the first book, but I can´t tell you why. Still, it was an enjoyable read and it made me hungry for more. The cliffhanger at the end was very very mean. I can´t wait to see the sequel. The good-evil one turned out to be good & the good ones turned evil. What´s the thing with Sophie´s mom, will Sophie get her powers back & how will thefreshly started war end? Are Anna and Chasten alive, if yes, will they remember Sophie and help? Will Archer Cross ever know who he really is?
So many questions need and answer...

I just have 2 requests:

1. Let Jenna be alive and un-heartbroken, she´s my favourite.
2. Let Sophie´s dad be ok. We need more sacastic father-daughter talk. They are great together and I want to see Grace Mercer going mad at them because of their sarcasm :3 (pretty please???)
Angel/Dust: Neo - Aoi Nanase The first one was definitely better.
Flavia de Luce 1 - Mord im Gurkenbeet: Roman - Alan Bradley I respect a girl who can prepare her sister´s lipstick with poison ivy, make a cold medicine in her laboratory without throwing up & is brave in front of a a man who almost kills her with a deadly syringe. Sherlock Holmes would be proud of her.

Eleven years old Flavia de Luce earned herself a new fangirl.
God Child 1 - Kaori Yuki The Cain saga is a 5 volume short story collection of the adventures of young Count Cain Hargraves & his butler Riff. Dark crime tales of the Victorian English society & the prelude to Kaori Yuki´s god Child.

Carlen manga published both series as a whole.
God Child, Band 6: Best of Daisuki - Kaori Yuki The sequel to The Cain Saga & the first volume of the original God Child series.
Sandman präsentiert Luzifer : die Morgenstern-Affäre - Mike Carey, Scott Hampton The collected storyline of Vertigo´s "The Sandman presents: Lucifer: The Morningstar option", published by Speed comics (they changed their name). Believe it or not, THIS prestige comic edition got me hooked on Lucifer & the Vertigo universe. Give it a shot & you´ll love it.
And for all art lovers: the mini series has been painted.
Doremi 01 - Izumi Todo, Shizue Takanashi The anime is better and much cuter. It´s still a mystery to me how they could turn a 3 book series into a 5 season anime series for kids. 3 stars for each manga because they contained bonus sicker :)
Das Große Vorlagenbuchüber 1000 Motive - Alan D. Gear, Barry L. Freestone A practical book containing 1000 different motives for decorating. This book includes a cd-rom.
Hokus Pokus. Magie Der Frauen - Titania Hardie A nice book with easy to follow receipes. I especially like the health improving ones.
And the book is velvet bound :)
Level C, Vol. 1 - Aoi Futaba, Kurenai Mitsuba The anime is based on the first volume of the manga series.
